FROM THE BEGINNINGS

DHA, we have discovered, is an essential component of our brain, eye, and nerve cells. Its unique size and shape are unlike any other fatty acid, and the body uses it for very specific functions. It fits best. It works best. It's the premium quality material needed for optimal brains. Building contractors dare not substitute lower grade or thinner wood than what is specified on the blueprint for building a house, because they know the architect who designed it has very good reasons for choosing those materials. Likewise, your genetic blueprint calls for DHA and no other fatty acid for certain functions. You were "constructed", of course, in your mother's womb. In nine short months, you developed from two tiny cells into a vast tapestry of countless cells, cells needing DHA to function. In fact, you needed DHA even before you were conceived

So, what exactly is DHA?

A. Actually, DHA is its nickname. Its full name is docosa-hexaenoic acid. (Now you know why we like using its nickname!)

DHA is a particular kind of fatty acid. You can think of a fatty acid as being a building block of fat. Imagine a key-ring with three keys on it. You can think of the individual keys as fatty acids, and the combination of the three connected by a key-ring to be a unit of fat. Just as keys come in many different lengths, sizes, and styles, fatty acids can too. So, DHA is simply a specific kind of "key" on the key ring.

DHA Mosques

Religious Affairs along with Education Directorate has further enhanced the quality of religious education in DHA Institution.
Not only motivational talk is delivered on monthly basis but also Hifz and Qirrat courses have been introduced in the Schools. Mosque schools have been established and Aalima course has been started in Tooba High School for Girls. Schools have been advised to hold Seerat and Qirrat competitions and Quiz programmes regularly. Selected books on Islam have been provided to the schools whereas some of them have been provided free.

Defence Authority Model High School Phase-VII
It was established on 7 August 1989 as a co-education institution. It is a Secondary School running classes from VI to X and is affiliated with the Board of Secondary Education Karachi. Results of the school in Karachi Board examinations have been extraordinary. In 2003, it achieved 100% results with 73 students getting A-1, 52 getting A and 2 students securing B grades. Session begins on the 1st of April to 31st March.
